The cinnamon method for vibrant plants: how to apply it correctly so they look perfect and radiant all year round

Plants are perfect for decorating any space, whether indoors or outdoors. Depending on the type of plant, it will need different types of care, but there are tricks that are beneficial for all of them, such as the cinnamon method, which helps them to be radiant and last much longer, regardless of the time of year: you just need to know how and when to apply it to get all its benefits.

1. Properties of cinnamon in plants

Cinnamon has two essential benefits for plants, depending on where we apply it: on the one hand, sprinkled on the substrate; and on the other hand, on leaves and branches.

2. On the substrate

Cinnamon has antifungal and insect repellent properties, so when applied to the substrate (by sprinkling a small amount on the surface), it will keep fungi and insects that can seriously weaken it at bay.

3. On leaves and branches

Similarly, when a leaf or branch has some kind of cut (either natural or because it has been pruned), cinnamon will seal it much faster, preventing infections or insects that could damage it from entering.

To do this, we can sprinkle the cinnamon on our fingers and then gently apply it exactly where the cut is.

4. Extra benefit: cuttings

When we want our cuttings to grow quickly. To do this, moisten the part of the cuttings that will be buried in the substrate and sprinkle cinnamon on it.

Then, insert the cuttings into the substrate and water as normal. After a few days, we will see that they grow strong and healthy.
